Cannabis Basics Science

Research and therapeutic applications for pain, sleep and mental health.

The art and science of the hemp plant as medicine.

The landscape of our understanding of cannabinoid science and cannabis basics and its role in our overall health is changing everyday.

In this course, research and therapeutic applications with cannabinoids will be presented objectively in many areas. You will be challenged to think outside the box on your current beliefs about physical and mental health; and how patient preference, clinical evidence and scientific research all play a key role in patient centered care.

You will complete this course with many answers to the questions you may have about the CBD industry, it’s growing popularity and your role in helping your patients and clients become more educated in the cannabis space.

plants as medicine

This course will take you on a journey to understand how the lost art and science of the healing properties of the hemp plant has shaped our current understanding of this important area of plant based medicine.

You will explore the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) and it’s importance in “directing and correcting” almost every cellular process in our body. The ECS has roles in digestion, inflammation, immunity, stress responses, wakeful and restful states, and has been shown to be neurologically protective following injury to our nervous system. Science has been limited in its progress in the fields of endocannabinoid and phytocannabinoid science; until now.
