At Fringe, we pride ourselves in making the highest quality and cleanest products possible.

Why fringe magnesium mix?

Magnesium is vital to a ton of our bodily processes, but we can’t get enough from our modern diet. You know what we can’t get enough of? Your questions, bring ’em on.

Our Fringe magnesium mix includes three forms of highly absorbable magnesium in a flavorless powder. Each scoop contains magnesium orotate, magnesium malate, and magnesium glycinate.

Magnesium glycinate: calming, restful sleep, anti anxiety, reduce muscle tension, balance mood

Magnesium orotate: heart health, gut health, mental health

Magnesium malate: muscle tension, chronic pain, inflammation, energy production

For our magnesium mix, it was a high priority to include highly absorbable forms of magnesium, at therapeutic dosages. Magnesium malate and glycinate are among the most absorbable forms available, and magnesium orotate absorbs much better than traditional magnesium supplements ie: magnesium oxide, magnesium carbonate, and magnesium chloride.

It can be a common side effect for magnesium supplements to negatively impact the digestive system causing symptoms like diarrhea, bloating, and gas. Our priority was to create a magnesium supplement that would NOT cause this issue. The three forms of magnesium we utilized are known to be very gentle on the GI system!

We suggest starting with 1 scoop per day, and increase (up to 2 scoops) as needed. Of course, always consult your physician when beginning a new supplement regimen.

Magnesium supplements in general are considered quite safe, and many adults (and children) are magnesium deficient. However – not all magnesium supplements are created equal. At Fringe, we source the highest quality ingredients possible and don’t add extra additives or fillers – making our products very safe for your and your family. Of course, always consult your physician when beginning a new supplement regimen.

Common symptoms of magnesium deficiency can include (but are not limited to): headaches, muscle tension/soreness, fatigue, anxiety, sleep disturbances, heart health issues, constipation, and blood pressure issues.

Magnesium supplements can be taken at any time of day. While magnesium glycinate (included in our mix) is amazing for sleep – it shouldn’t make you ‘sleepy’. The right time to supplement depends on your symptoms. If you’d like to take magnesium to improve your sleep, take 30 – 60 minutes before bedtime. Otherwise, it can be taken anytime throughout the day. Remember – consistency matters! Choose a time of day when you can be consistent and fit it into your routine.

Take a scoop 30-60 minutes before bed. We recommend starting with 1 scoop, and increase scoops (up to 3) as needed for desired result.

Diarrhea, lethargy, nausea, muscle weakness, low blood pressure, heart problems, and depression can be indicators of magnesium toxicity. It is not common to take too much magnesium, but it’s important to look for these symptoms especially if taking more than 2 scoops per day.

Just as with adults, due to poor diet and soil health, kids can benefit from magnesium supplementation too. Magnesium is essential to building bones, muscles, and for many biological functions in the body. Especially if your child is experiencing symptoms like headaches, poor sleep, digestive upset, tiredness, poor concentration, growing pains, or difficulty regulating their mood.

Do not give magnesium to children under 1 year of age.

1-3 years old = ¼ scoop per day
4-8 years old = ½ scoop per day
9-13 years old = ¾ scoop per day
14+ = 1 scoop per day

Of course, always consult your pediatrician before beginning any supplements.
