Electrolyte & Mineral Mix
Why Electrolyte Minerals?
Pure Water from nature contains a wide range of nutrients in the form of dissolved minerals (aka electrolytes). As water travels over rocks and through the earth, minerals make their way into water. The result is a complex fluid matrix that is far more than just plain ol’ H2O.
Yesterday's Medicine
Our water sources used to be rich in minerals essential for our health. Our ancestors were provided these nutrients from the water they sourced from rivers, springs, and streams, passing over rocks and through the earth - collecting micro-amounts of nutrients they consumed daily.
With all the natural benefits intact, this water is often termed “living water.” Today, our water sources are void of the life they once had.
Today's Science
A little known yet very important fact is that water should make an appreciable contribution to our required micronutrient intake.
There are many nutrients that occur naturally in water, including calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride and potassium. These minerals occur in natural water and contribute between 1 and 20% of our recommended daily intake values.
By removing minerals from water using modern filtration methods, we
are missing a vital nutrient source available to us. Taking steps to put
minerals back into your water, such as adding electrolyte mineral
formulations will help to support hydration and electrolyte balance in
the body.
Electrolytes do a *lot* of work in the body, including regulating:
- Fluid balance
- Nerve transmission
- Muscle contraction
- pH
- Metabolism
- Energy production
- Hormone production
Maintaining electrolyte levels is essential for optimal health!
As we dove deeper and deeper on our mission to bring you the best, cleanest, most transparent supplements on the market we repeatedly ran into one thing – supplements have a lot of useless (sometimes toxic) fillers.
Well, we took all of them out, leaving behind only what you truly need: a small scoop, full of big good.
What's in the tub?
Sodium Chloride from Sea salt
Sodium Chloride from Sea salt
We opted for a high-quality natural sea salt to help rehydrate the body, sourced from Australian sea water, rather than table salt. Sea salt contains a wider range of minerals like iron, iodine, manganese, zinc, and selenium.
Potassium
Potassium
Potassium is essential for regulating many processes in the body, including heart, muscle, nerve, and blood vessel function.
Magnesium from magnesium malate
Magnesium from magnesium malate
This highly absorbable form of magnesium helps reduce pain and inflammation, improve mood, and supports heart, nerve, and muscle health - without causing unpleasant digestive symptoms.
Calcium from Calcified Algae
Calcium from Calcified Algae
Calcium is essential for supporting bone and teeth health, but also important for muscle and nerve function.
Trace minerals
Trace minerals
Getting back to the water nature intended us to drink! Trace minerals are essential micronutrients that are critical in many biological processes in the body. Our trace minerals are sourced from the Great Salt Lake in Utah and include selenium, iodine, molybdenum, zinc, copper, manganese, and chromium.
Organic Agave Inulin
Organic Agave Inulin
This is a soluble fiber derived from agave. It helps to maintain accurate dosing with the product and is also a prebiotic resistant starch which has a positive effect on gut health!

How do I know if I’m taking too much?

Are electrolyte supplements safe?
Are electrolyte supplements safe?
It depends on the quality! Fringe electrolytes are incredibly safe. How do I know if I need electrolytes?
How do I know if I need electrolytes?
Chronic dehydration is a major issue in society today, and can lead to a plethora of symptoms including fatigue, muscle tension, digestive distress, headaches, and more. In order to maintain proper hydration levels, water isn’t the only thing we need - electrolytes and minerals are essential! Since our soil is depleted of key minerals and macronutrients, many people find amazing benefits from consuming electrolytes on a regular basis. It can be quite hard to get the physiologic levels of these important nutrients through diet alone. Since we filter our modern day water (which is a good thing) this often leaves it quite depleted from the essential minerals we need to thrive. At Fringe, we’ve created live water - a way to add the good stuff back in through a simple scoop.
Should I take electrolytes in the morning or the evening?
Should I take electrolytes in the morning or the evening?
Anytime! Adding electrolytes to your morning drink or water can be a great way to start the day extra hydrated, or add a scoop after your workout. Before bed works too, especially if you haven’t met your water intake for the day.
Why flavorless?
Why flavorless?
At Fringe, we pride ourselves in making the highest quality and cleanest products possible. After attempting to create a flavored electrolyte for an entire year - we weren’t happy with the available ingredients and quality, so we pivoted to starting with a flavorless option. Don’t worry, our search continues, and flavors are in the works!
Why trace minerals?
Why trace minerals?
While sodium, potassium, and magnesium are typically the stars of the show in the electrolyte world, trace minerals are also crucial for our physiologic function, and we are often depleted of these essential minerals! Our trace minerals include small amounts of: iodine, selenium, molybdenum, zinc, copper, selenium, and manganese with every scoop!
How much water per scoop of Fringe electrolytes?

Up to you! Our serving size works great in a 8 ounce glass of water, but if you’d like a more diluted taste, just add more liquid. Also feel free to add a scoop to any beverage or smoothie for an extra hydration boost! And if you’d like to add a splash of flavor, we recommend a squeeze of your favorite citrus fruit or a dash of essential oil extract.
